Locomotive 35, a Baldwin-Westinghouse steeple cab, was used by SDER to haul freight cars recieved from interchange at Wright and Witherby Sts. off Hancock St. from Santa Fe RR.
Loads were hauled to various lumber yards and cement plants on the La Jolla line and off 30th St north of University Ave. where there was a Dixie Lumber Co. yard. This business slowed during the 30s and the loco was eventually sold to the Bamberger Electric Railway in Utah.
